How Do I Format a Matter That Has Multiple Primary Clients?
If you have a Matter
that has more than one Primary Client and cannot make one party the primary client, you can use this solution to organize your Matter:
- When you are creating the Matter add a new company as a Primary Client.
- This new Company will act as a Contact Group for the Matter. We suggest naming it with both parties names (ex. "Jane Doe and John Doe")
- Click on 'Create Contact' to add both parties to this Company.
- Under the 'Other Contacts' section, add the two parties as Matter Contacts and assign them to the company you made for the primary client.
