How should I configure the billing for a new matter to be flat fee and hourly?
The billing type you select for a Matter is for internal reference and will not limit the entries you can add, you will always be able to create time entries and add flat fees to an Invoice for a Matter.
To notate this billing when adding a new matter, you will have the option to select a hybrid of the two billing types – "Time & Flat fee-based".
