When I go to create a new time entry, the rate is already populated - where does it get this data?
In Zola Suite there are three rates that can be defined.
1. Default User Rate - This will be entered in you My Settings
2. Matter Hourly Rate - This will be entered in the Matter Options section
3. Matter User Rate - This too will be found in the Matter Options section
If a user does not contain a Matter User Rate for a particular matter and that same matter does not have a Matter Hourly Rate, the Default User Rate will be inherited.
If a user does not contain a Matter User Rate for a particular matter but a Matter Hourly is defined, this rate will be inherited. Regardless if the User has a Default User Rate.
If a user contains a Matter User Rate for a particular Matter this will be the rate that will populate.
**Rates can always be overridden when composing a New Time Entry or on edit**
